Meet the Founder
Imani Hopkins is a passionate advocate for creators in the music industry, known for her talents as a pianist, songwriter, and audio engineer. Self-taught on the piano from the age of 8, Imani later learned classical piano, deepening her love for music and her understanding of the craft. With a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Delaware State University and currently pursuing her MBA at Howard University, Imani is focused on making a positive impact in the music industry.
Driven by her own experiences navigating the music industry, Imani founded Creating Classics to address the challenges faced by many creators. Through her organization, Creating Classics, Imani aims to roll out the red carpet for songwriters, audio engineers, music producers, and others who have made their mark in the industry.
Through hands-on workshops, personalized mentorship, and a vibrant community, Imani is dedicated to creating a safe space for expression, collaboration, and empowerment for the next generation of talent. Creating Classics celebrates the idea that true classics are timeless music and moments that resonate across generations.
